Poetry on the Road - Literature Festival

Names from world literature alongside newly discovered writers: the Poetry on the Road festival presents a wide range of themes in a whole host of different ways. It showcases the different mediums and forms of contemporary poetry, including in combination with music and other art forms, as visual sound poetry and as performance.

For over 20 years, poetry on the road has been an integral part of Bremen's cultural life. Numerous authors of world literature side by side with highly interesting new discoveries - the topics as diverse as the presentations: The festival poetry on the road presents the richness of forms and media of contemporary poetry, presents poetry in connection with other arts, as visual sound poetry, as performance and in connection with music.

This year, as part of the theme year "Genussufer 2023. Experience Bremen on the waterfront," Poetry on the Bike will take place on Sunday, June 25, at the Martinin jetty. In addition to the enjoyment of the word, the Coffee BIke will also provide coffee enjoyment. Afterwards, both bikes will travel to the Theater am Goetheplatz, where there will be further performances. Among others, Bas Böttcher will be on the bike stage.
